Working Together Across Cultures – Workshop

We invite international employees and PhD candidates to take part in our workshop dedicated to intercultural communication and cultural adaptation at the UW on 5 December.

During the workshop you will:

  • Gain a clear understanding of the academic culture at the UW — including its core values, norms and expectations;
  • Explore diverse communication styles and learn how cultural backgrounds shape the way we speak, collaborate and interpret messages from others;
  • Analyse common misunderstandings that can arise in a multicultural academic environment — and discover ways to navigate them;
  • Reflect on real-life experiences and exchange thoughts with other participants;
  • Take away practical tools and proven strategies for communicating effectively within the UW community.

Workshop details:

Date & Time: December 5th, Friday, 9:00 AM – 12:15 PM (coffee break included)
