University support

Students, doctoral candidates and employees of the University of Warsaw join actions to help the Ukrainian community. This support is provided both to refugees from Ukraine and to those who have long been members of our academic community.

The mission of Welcome Point is first and foremost to help PhD students, students, and academics adapt to new conditions. Faced with the situation in Ukraine, Welcome Point has gone out of its way to meet the needs of our doctoral students, students, and employees from Ukraine and has launched customer service in Ukrainian. We will be happy to assist you with legalising your stay, any questions you may have about studying at the University and much more. An additional person has been hired especially for you, who is available at various Welcome Point locations (you can arrange a convenient meeting place) and will be happy to help you. If you have any questions, please contact us by email: o.andrijewski@uw.edu.pl or welcome@uw.edu.pl

The WELCOME POINT at the Faculty of Modern Languages at 55 Dobra Street (room 92, ground floor) serves as an information centre for people from Ukraine if you are not already affiliated with the University of Warsaw. Here you can get information on all questions which interest you, for example, matters related to the legalisation of your stay, insurance, as well as legal issues concerning nurseries, kindergartens, secondary schools and high schools. Every week we prepare interesting activities, various workshops, masterclasses, and reviews of Ukrainian cinema classics. If you are from Ukraine but not connected in any way with the University and are looking for help or information, please contact us by email: m.dashchenko@uw.edu.pl or d.oderii@uw.edu.pl

In the building on Dobra Street (room 610), as part of the UW for Ukraine project, you will find many captivating activities, language classes, as well as legal and psychological advice. Link below:
