The University of Warsaw
With more than 200 years of history, the University of Warsaw is the second oldest university in Poland and at the same time the largest one. In 2025 there were:
- 39 620 students (bachelor’s and master’s) and 1 706 doctoral students,
- 8 230 employees, including:
- 4 194 academic teachers,
- 879 engineering and technical employees,
- 326 librarians,
- 2 831 administrative employees.
University life is centred around three campuses:
- Main Campus – historic location of the University of Warsaw, close to the city centre, home to the humanities and social sciences, the UW authorities, and central administration offices (Admissions Office, International Relations Office, Office for Student Affairs, Office for Doctoral and Postgraduates Studies);
- Ochota Campus – home to science and natural science, made up of impressive, modern buildings housing state-of-the-art laboratories;
- Służewiec Campus – home to the Faculty of Management and student dormitories.
