E-prescription

It is a kind of prescription which your doctor issues in the electronic system. You can get it in three ways:

If you use an Internet Patient Account, you will receive:

• an SMS to your phone – simply a 4-digit code. The pharmacy staff will ask for 4 digits and your PESEL number.*
• an email with a PDF file attached – this file is an e-prescription. It looks like an information printout – with a barcode and the doctor’s recommended dosage.

If you do not use an Internet Patient Account:

• you will receive a paper information printout at your doctor’s office.

* At the pharmacy give an information printout or a 4-digit code together with your PESEL number.

If you do not have a PESEL NUMBER, GIVE your EHIC (The European Health Insurance) card number or Passport number.
