Activities financed by NAWA’s “Welcome to Poland 2024” programme

Part of Welcome Point’s activity is financed by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) “Welcome to Poland 2024” programme. The project “Welcome Point – Expanding Horizons” (acronym: WP-EHo) has been awarded funding in the “Welcome to Poland 2024” competition run by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange.

The project will run from 1 October 2025 to 30 September 2027, and focuses on the idea of “internationalisation at home” and the overall development of the University of Warsaw’s capacity to host and support international members of the university community.

The project also aims to strengthen integration between Polish and international students and staff by promoting tolerance and openness, as well as enhancing the skills of university staff. One of the main areas of activity includes organising training sessions for university employees to improve their competencies in handling formal procedures, legalising stay, employing international staff, and developing soft skills for communication in diverse, multicultural, and multigenerational workplaces.

Other activities will be addressed directly to international students, staff, and candidates – including information meetings, adaptation workshops, and the opening of the Welcome Pavilion at the beginning of the 2025/2026 academic year.
