THE summer SEMESTER IN THE 2020/2021 ACADEMIC YEAR AT THE UNIVERSITY OF WARSAW WILL BE HELD REMOTELY. CLASSES, LANGUAGE COURSES, EXAMS, diploma examinations AND LECTURERS’ DUTY HOURS WILL BE CONDUCTED ONLINE. IF THE CLASSES, DUE TO THEIR SPECIFICITY, REQUIRE DIRECT CONTACT WITH THE LECTURER, THEY CAN BE CONDUCTED ON A STATIONARY BASIS, WHILE MAINTAINING SANITARY REQUIREMENTS.
On 18th of January, prof. Alojzy Z. Nowak, rector of the University of Warsaw, signed the ordinance on the organization of education in the summer semester of the 2020/2021 academic year. The ordinance defines the rules for the organization of education in the coming semester.
Classes will be conducted remotely. If the classes, due to their specificity, require contact with the lecturer, they can be conducted on a stationary basis, subject to sanitary requirements. ‘This applies in particular to laboratories, field practice and apprenticeships’ – says the ordinance.
Decisions about which classes will be held in a stationary mode, must be taken not later than 1st March and 2 weeks before their start.
PE classes will be conducted remotely or on the basis of an order of the head of the SWFiS, in the facilities of the University of Warsaw.
Exams and credits, diploma examinations will be held remotely.
General university classes and foreign language courses will be conducted only remotely.
