Due to the current political situation in Belarus, we have gathered all the possibilities of supporting Belarusians who would like to study or conduct research in Poland.
Below you will find interesting scholarship offers and institutions that offer help to Belarusians in a difficult life situation.
Special edition of the Kirkland Research Program for Candidates from Belarus
Experienced academics who are citizens of Belarus, hold at least a doctoral degree and documented achievements in the form of publications. Also people who have completed the 3rd year of doctoral studies and are preparing a doctoral dissertation and have a documented track record in the form of publications.
The scholarship is intended for a period of one semester (5 months) from the beginning of February 2022 to the end of June 2022.
The Program offers among others: scholarship in the amount of 11 000 PLN in 5 installments, an opportunity to conduct research and write a scientific article under the supervision of experienced scientists from one of the five academic centers in Poland (Warsaw, Kraków, Wrocław, Poznań, Lublin), Polish language course, covering visa fees, medical insurance in private health care.

- Economics and Management
- Management in business, NGO, culture, education, health care
- Public administration (state and local government)
- Law
- Social sciences (social psychology, sociology)
- Political science and international relations
- Environmental protection
- Security issues
- Crisis management
- Development policy and humanitarian aid

Solidarity with Belarus – students
The Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) continues an initiative ‘Solidarity with Belarus’ that was set off last year. The purpose of the Action is to support Belarusian students and scientists who stand for democratic values and criticize the legitimacy of the presidential election result in August 2020.
This year Action is offered to two groups of students:
- Belarusians who start studying in 2021/22 academic year, in Polish, stationary
- Belarusians who were benefiters of NAWA scholarship last year and continue their studies in Polish, stationary.
Scholarship covers:
- maximum 10 months of scholarship paying in the 2021/22 academic year (1250 zł per month for bachalor level, 1500 zł for master level),
- fee for your studies in the 2021/22 academic year.

Banach Scholarship Program
Belarusian who do not have Polish citizenship and have not applied for Polish citizenship, who are planning to start second-cycle studies or a preparatory course in the academic year 2021/22. Last year students of the first-cycle studies and bachelor graduates (who obtained their diploma not earlier than in 2019) in the field of engineering and technical sciences, agriculture sciences, exact and natural sciences as well as humanities and social sciences.
The Programme offers the scholarship for full-time second-cycle studies conducted in Polish or English at the universities supervised by the Minister of Education and Science in the fields listed above.

Kalinowski Scholarship Program
Belarusian citizens who do not have the citizenship of the Republic of Poland and the Pole’s Card, who in the year of enrollment or the preceding year were relegated from universities for political reasons, as well as graduates of the independent Humanities High School named after Jakub Kołas in Minsk.

Scholarship for Eastern Studies
Candidates under 30 years of age – graduate MA studies in humanities in their home country (MA or Specialist diploma), with good general orientation in issues connected with Eastern and Central Europe, Russia, Caucasus and Central Asia, especially XIX-XX cc. and present problems of the region, after 1991., who have knowledge of Polish and English enabling understanding of lectures and reading academic literature.

Scholarship Program for Young Academics
Candidates who can already demonstrate certain scientific achievements and /or organizational activity, who through their specialised stay and study at Polish institutions will have the greatest opportunity to apply gained knowledge in their home countries, in both scientific field, and social activities.
