Changes in the functioning of the University of Warsaw during the pandemic
On 16th October, the Rector of the University of Warsaw, prof. Alojzy Z. Nowak issued a new ordinance on the functioning of the University of Warsaw during the epidemic announced in connection with SARS-CoV-2 virus infections. The document concerns, among others conducting classes, examinations and organizing events.
Multicultural meetings at UW – Polish Culture
Knock knock! Who’s there? Polish culture is knocking on your door.
Two weeks of cultural travel across Polish movies, music, language and traditional customs. Developing your language and social skills. Making new friends. Changing your perspective. The Volunteer Centre of the University of Warsaw is coming back with the Online Multicultural Meetings. And puts Polish culture as its first topic.

The new office will be open from Monday till Friday, 9:00 am to 4:30 pm in the CeNT Building (Banacha 2C Street, ground floor).
Psychotherapy in English free of charge
There are three free places for persons seeking psychotherapy conducted in English. The therapy will take place in “HUMANA Psychotherapy – Sexology Practice” (al. Niepodległości 159 lok 76) from October 2020 to May 2021 (Tuesdays, 1 p.m. or Thursdays 1 p.m.). It is free of charge.

Inauguration of the Academic Year 2020/2021 – live stream
On 1st October at 2 pm. in Auditorium Maximum at Krakowskie Przedmieście, the inauguration ceremony of the next academic year at the University of Warsaw will take place. Lecture entitled “Brain surgery. Contemporary possibilities of therapeutic intervention in the central nervous system ”, will be presented by prof. dr hab. n. med. Mirosław Ząbek.

Our previous workshops “Cultural Orientation at UW” attracted a lot of interest, so we move on to our next initiative! We would like to invite you to the ‘Polish Culture and Intercultural Communication’ online workshops which will take place on 12th and 13th October,
Welcome Point Pavilion is open again!
Like every year, Welcome Point temporarily leaves the office and moves to the newly built pavilion. Our initiative of setting a big, apartment-like tent in the small courtyard always met with huge and positive response from all newcomers to the UW.
