Welcome Point in collaboration with the School of Impro and Centre of Polish Language and Culture for Foreigners Polonicum, invites both international and Polish employees at UW to an inclusive activity that bridges cultures and languages through the art of theatrical improvisation. All this to get to know each other better and build a supportive, friendly community.
The guiding principle of improvisation is to agree and say YES. Improvisation is a collaborative art form that thrives on shared energy and creativity. It emphasizes the dynamic exchange of ideas, celebrating both successes and mistakes as part of the creative process.
This is also a workshop of empathy and trust in the group, of giving someone support and receiving it from others, cooperation and communication, listening and observing, spontaneity and creativity, self-confidence and turning off the inner critic, openness to new ideas and quick decision-making. If you are interested in developing these qualities, or if you are drawn to the stage – you are welcome!
