University of Warsaw offers an extraordinary opportunity to undertake Foundation Year, an intensive one-year preparatory course in English language aimed at secondary school graduates and university graduates from all over the world. The first round of enrollment is open until June 29th.
The aim of the program is to enable international students to start degree studies in English in a chosen field of social studies, humanities or science at the University of Warsaw. The course program includes not only English language learning classes but also various activities related with Polish culture and academic life. The course runs from October 10th, 2022 to June 5th, 2023.
The classes are conducted by English language teachers of the Centre for Foreign Language Teaching, the Centre of Polish Language and Culture for Foreigners “POLONICUM”, as well as lecturers of the selected faculties of the University of Warsaw. The Office for Academic and Student Affairs is responsible for the administration of the course.
The Foundation Year classes cover:
- 450 hours of English (4 times a week)
- 120 hours of Polish for beginners (2 times a week)
- Social Path module (outings and online activities)
- Seminar with field specialists (1 or 2 times a week)
Application deadlines:
- the first round of application last until June 29th, 2022
- the second round: July 21st – August 10th, 2022.
