The University of Warsaw is offering an unpaid 30-hour online Polish language courses. Classes will be held twice a week between April and June, 2024. The courses are intended for University employees.
In these courses we offer:
- free participation
- 30 hours of Polish language classes

- placement test
- great atmosphere in the international environment
Obligations of participants:
- active participation
- at least 80% presence
We currently offer 3 levels of proficiency:

2 groups on A1.3 level
Continuation of the course (3rd trimester) aimed for those who already have learnt basic vocabulary, Polish alphabet and courtesy expressions. The participant should be able to briefly introduce themselves, discuss their interests, describe their weekly routine, talk about their likes and dislikes, and explain how they spend their free time. They should also be capable of responding to simple questions.
The third trimester will focus on improving response skills (question-answer) in various life communication situations, such as those encountered in shops, in the street, when asking for location, time, or place, during meetings, and during a small talk.

b) evening group:

Duration: April 11th – June 14th, 2024
Classes on: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

B1.1 level
The course is aimed for people who have mastered the lexico-grammatical material of levels A1-A2 (equivalent to completing 240 hours of learning). The trimester program includes grammatical topics such as a review of all cases, vocative (in the context of private and official letters), declension of the noun “dziecko”, a review of the genitive case in plural form for nouns and adjectives, and syntax related to numerals. Priority in registration is given to those who are continuing from the previous course and starting at the B1.1 level.

B2.1 level
Teacher: Paulina Potasińska
Duration: April 8th – June 14th, 2024
Classes on: Mondays and Wednesdays, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
WHO CAN APPLY?
The courses are intended for international employees of the University of Warsaw.
An employee should be understood as a person employed during the period of implementation of the development activity at the University on the basis of a contract of employment or appointment, in the group of academic teachers or non-academic employees;

- April 5th, 10.00 am (CET) – level A1.3 (evening group)
