Welcome Point UW invites all international students and PhD students to join our next city walk. This time, we’re leaving behind the postcard-perfect view of Warsaw and stepping into its darker past.

On this guided tour, we’ll explore the criminal underworld of the city in the 1920s and 1930s — a time when Warsaw was not only a vibrant cultural capital but also a place full of danger, secrets, and crime.

You’ll hear stories of notorious gangsters, bank robberies, political assassinations, and Poland’s very own Al Capone. We’ll talk about gentleman thieves, desperate lovers, and crimes of honour committed by officers.

Before WWII, Warsaw was a dangerous city — but today, its untold stories are thrilling to uncover.
