Join Our Summer Workshop: Co-Create UW Community!

Do you want to be part of shaping a vibrant and connected academic community? If so, the Volunteer Centre of the UW invites you to join the summer workshop!

What’s the goal?

Together, we’ll brainstorm and design activities tailored to the unique interests, needs, and challenges before the new semester starts! This is your chance to share ideas, connect with others, and turn your vision into actionable plans.

What’s in it for you?

  • Meet fellow students and build connections in a fun, interactive environment.
  • Share your experiences, ideas, and creativity.
  • Develop plans for activities that could make university life more exciting and fulfilling.
  • Leave the workshop with a sense of empowerment and a roadmap to building a stronger community.

What will happen?

Our workshop is a mix of creative activities, group discussions, and brainstorming sessions:

  1. Icebreaker and introductions: Get to know each other and set the tone for a collaborative session.
  2. Fun perception games: Explore how we view our university and its community in creative ways.
  3. Identifying needs and challenges: Work in groups to develop personas and brainstorm ways to address their needs.
  4. Designing solutions: Collaboratively create ideas for activities, initiatives, or events to make student life more enjoyable.
  5. Actionable takeaways: Vote on the best ideas and discuss how to bring them to life!
