Financial aid for UW students and PhD students

Students whose families have been affected by the natural disaster can apply for an allowance (assistance grant) from the University.

The allowance is usually a single benefit granted to a person who suffers from a difficult life situation. This form of assistance can be used by students and participants of doctoral studies. The maximum amount of the financial aid for the victims of this natural disaster and their families is 5.500 PLN. In case of questions, please write to The Student Welfare and Support Office: zapomogi@uw.edu.pl

  • The application should be submitted via the student’s personal USOSweb account (central USOSweb system, not the Faculty’s one if you use it).

Go to COMMON SECTION, then APPLICATIONS, and choose “Application for assistance grant in academic year 2022/2023”. You will be asked to describe how the earthquake has influenced you and your family. If possible, please upload (a) document(s) which confirm(s) your situation (translated to Polish).

Need to talk?

Please feel free to contact Welcome Point if you need any assistance, or you just feel you need somebody to talk to.

Remember also about the Psychological and Counselling Services Center of The University of Warsaw  where you may have a confidential conversation with a psychologist, which is meant to initially recognize your life and emotional situation, the nature of the problems you encounter and possible forms of psychological help you might need.
