Multicultural Meetings at UW organised by The Volunteer Centre of UW

Join our famous Multicultural Meetings about Poland! Various topics prepared by students of the University of Warsaw are waiting for you, both offline and online.

18th October at 6:30 pm (offline)

Would you like to travel around Poland, but not on the most popular tourist tracks? This meeting will bring you a lot of ideas where to go and what to do on your next exciting adventure! Ola will show you beautiful places and landscapes as an inspiration for small Polish trips.

19th October at 4:30 pm (offline)

This meeting is for dance lovers, but not only! If you like folk vibes, it is also for you! We will get to know traditional Polish music and dances. Important note: take your dancing shoes as there will be time to learn in practice! Great way to pick up some knowledge about traditional Polish culture and move around a bit. Meeting organised in collaboration with the Faculty of History Students Government.

21st October at 7 pm (CEST) (online on ZOOM)

This meeting is for art and graphic lovers! But not only, it is also a great way to have a glimpse on a very important part of XX century Polish cultural heritage through art expression. We will get to know the most interesting art pieces, names and history of the Polish School of Posters. It will be for sure a very colorful and creative Multicultural Meeting!

25th October at 4:30 pm (offline)

Polish language may appear impossible to learn, but no worries! Emilian is here to make it simpler and fun! This meeting is for all of you who would like to start adventure with these mysterious signs such as ó, ż or ź (yes, these are two different letters), and also for those who would like to learn simple things such as how to say hello to Poles.

 

26th October at 4:30 pm (offline)

This meeting is for wannabe princesses and knights! Or for all of you who would like to learn some Polish history and culture while discovering amazing Polish castles. Not all of them are very famous, but definitely all are worth visiting. For sure you will get a lot of new traveling ideas and inspirations!

 

Offline Meeting Place: the Volunteer Centre of the University of Warsaw (the University Library building, Dobra Street 56/66).

All the meetings will be held in English and will last around 2 hours.

Multicultural Meetings are a great occasion to meet new people from all over the world, who also study at our University!

We advise you choose maximum of three meetings that interest you the most to participate in. Due to the restrictions we can only invite limited number of participants for each meeting, so please consider your choice wisely.

There will be also some surprises waiting for the participants of the events.

So if you are inspired by the diverse cultures of our University just as we are, and if you want to get to know some more about the culture and language of Poland, you should definitely join us!
