Public Transport
If you are intending to travel via public transport during a public holiday, it is working like on Sundays – here you can check bus/metro/tram timetable
However we encourage you to use the metro and SKM and KM trains. Metro lines 1 and 2, from 11am to 7pm, will run with increased frequency.
Several tram lines will be suspended – 4, 13, 22 and 78. In their place, there will appear a tram line no 72, which will run on the route Osiedle Górczewska – Żerań Wschodni. Due to the celebration events, tram lines 7, 9, 15, 17, 20, 23, 24, 26, 30, 33 and 35 will be rerouted.
There will be some difficulties because of:
- 10:00 – 14:00 Warsaw Independent Run (route: Stawki-Rakowiecka-Stawki)
- 14:00 Independence Marche (route: Dmowskiego round-Jerozolimskie Avenue-Poniatowski Bridge-National Stadium)
- 11:00 -12:30 Motorbike Independence Parade (route: Temple of Divine Providence – Belwederska Street)
- 12:00 – 17:00 Independence MotoParada (route: Sulejówek-Ursynów – Sójki Street)
- 14:00 – 17:00 Anti-Fascist Street Party (between Marszałkowska and Plac Trzech Krzyży)
There are still several smaller assemblies reported in the area of the Dmowskiego roundabout, e.g. from Złota street to Bankowy Square and in the other side of Marszałkowska Street to Konstytucji Square.
Please note that this kind of marches are attended by crowds of people. Be cautious.
