UW students can sign up for language courses and choose from 41 different languages to learn! After classes, they can join our sports and artistic organisations: they can play volleyball, surf, sing, dance, recite, go for mountain tour, or sail.
Language courses
Language courses can be either tradional and in-class, or online. All classes are conducted according to recomendations from Council of Europe on subject of language qualifications. Moreover, UW’s system of teaching foreign language has been rewarded with European Language Label (ELL) by European Commission.
Students can take language exam on basis of which certificate of language proficiency is issued. It is a very useful document, especially when applying for studies abroad, international internship, or job.
At UW you can learn up to 41 foreign languages:

From aerobics to yachting
UW atheletes are continuously in the upper echelon of every significant academic competition. Usually, we are first and that is the best evidence of high level of our teams.
Students can actively practise around 30 various disciplines, e.g.: aerobics, athletics, climbing, football, handball, horse-riding, karate, rowing, volleyball, yachting. They can participate in competitions as professionals or excercise as amateurs.

On scene
Our Academic Choir of the University of Warsaw gathered 12,5 milllion viewers once. It was one-of-a-kind performance – opening ceremony of UEFA Euro 2012 in National Stadium in Warsaw. Choir members performed ‘Dąbrowski’s Mazurka’ and ‘Imnos eis tin Eleftherian’. They also recorded anthems of countries that participated in the competition.
But singing is not the only passion that you can maintain while studying at UW. We also have a dance ensemble and a theatre.
