We invite all international employees and PhD candidates to an in-person workshop on intercultural communication and cultural adaptation at the University of Warsaw on December 5th
During the workshop you will:
- get to know the essentials of academic culture at the UW — its values, norms and expectations;
- explore different communication styles and understand how cultural differences can shape the way we speak and interact;
- discuss common misunderstandings and challenges that may appear in a multicultural academic environment;
- share and reflect on real experiences related to intercultural communication;
- learn practical tips and good practices for communicating effectively within the UW community.
Workshop details:
Date & Time: December 5th, 9:00 AM – 12:15 PM (coffee break included)
Location: Main Campus (exact room to be confirmed)

The training is open to all international employees of the UW who are hired on employment contracts, including both academic and administrative/service staff* and UW PhD candidates.
*If the workshop is held during your working hours, administrative and service staff are kindly requested to submit a signed permission from their immediate supervisor to welcome.event@uw.edu.pl
