2024/2025 Doctoral Schools’ admissions

We are glad to announce that the registration for all the Doctoral Schools of the University of Warsaw is open now. This year 330 places in 26 fields are available.

How to apply?

  • The UW Doctoral School admissions are conducted electronically via the Internet Recruitment of Candidates (IRK) service: https://irk.uw.edu.pl/en-gb/home/SzD2024/
  • After you submit your application with the complete set of required documents the verification and assessment of documents starts. Next, you will be invited to take part in the exam (in the Doctoral School of Exact and Natural Sciences) and interview (in all schools). The results of the recruitment will be available in late July – early August.
  • If you have no scientific supervisor yet, we encourage you to search through the database of the UW researchers who are willing to perform the function of a doctoral dissertation supervisor: https://promotorzy.szkolydoktorskie.uw.edu.pl/en/search

Doctoral Scholarships

Accepted candidates will receive a scholarship during the whole 4-year period of study and can apply for a place in one of the University dormitories. The brutto scholarship amount is PLN 4242 before the mid-term evaluation and PLN 5340,90 after the mid-term evaluation.
The brutto supplement for persons with disabilities: PLN 1040,07. Additional scholarship options are also available.
