2023 with Welcome Point!

Throughout 2023, the Welcome Point team dedicated themselves to a whirlwind of initiatives and support for students, employees, and doctoral candidates.🧑‍🎓👩🏻‍🎓

In 2023 we organised more than 60 of various events: campus walks, artistic workshops in the project “University of Warsaw for Ukraine,” legalisation of stay meetings, tax consultations, workshops for setting smart goals, onboardings, Welcome Days and Welcome Meetings!🗓️

Recognizing the evolving needs of our international community, we have recently issued  a Starter Kit for International Employees and updated the International Students Guide. What’s more, with the help of professionals, we created a short video guide on public healthcare and insurance in Poland!📘🎬

The growth of our team mirrored our dedication, welcoming 5 new members, including our legalisation of stay coordinator. Innovation thrived as we pioneered an OGUN course centered on “Onboarding at the UW,” an invaluable resource for new coming students!🥳

Proudly upholding tradition, the Welcome Point Pavilion stood tall for a month with the great assistance of our experienced students both Polish and international, who were happy to help new international students, offering guidance and addressing their myriad queries.🙂

We were happy to help students showcase the rich array of cultures at our university, which was evident through the co-organisation of the Cultural Hot Spot 2023 event, celebrating the multicultural essence of our community. 🌎

We had reason to celebrate as our collective hard work resulted in obtaining funding from NAWA. This has given us the momentum to plan upcoming events and projects!🥳

As we look back on our achievements this year, we want to express our sincere appreciation to everyone who contributed to this meaningful journey and we hope you will stay with us in 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣4️⃣!

Happy New Year, Dear Community of the University of Warsaw! Let the new chapter “2024” bring us more joy, peace, and energy!🎄

See you on the 3rd of January!👋
