Are you from Hungary, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Saudi Arabia or Tanzania?
We are looking for additional volunteers who would like to help host the cultural stands of the above mentioned countries at this year’s Miasteczko na Styku Kultur – Cultural HotSpot UW – the biggest multicultural event at the University of Warsaw which will take place on MAY 18TH (Thursday) on UW’s main campus (26/28 Krakowskie Przedmieście Street).
If you wanted to present your country there, but did not sign up because you were afraid you would be alone, here is your second chance! Our current volunteers will gladly welcome your company!
Unfortunately, this call for help only applies to these 5 nationalities. We are not looking for any volunteers from other countries!
What do we expect from you?
- to cooperate with our current volunteers in preparing the cultural stand of your country
- to participate in a multicultural workshop on May 10th (Wednesday) OR 11th (Thursday) from 5 to 7 p.m., during which you will meet other volunteers creating the Cultural Hot-Spot community. You can choose which date suits you best. ATTENDANCE OBLIGATORY if you want to participate in the main event.
- to be available on May 18th from 10 a.m. till 5 p.m.
If you are interested, please FILL IN THIS VOLUNTEER FORM (check the box “Organising Miasteczko na Styku Kultur – Cultural Hot-Spot UW”) and send an email to wolontariat@uw.edu.pl specifying which day of the workshops you can attend. If you are already registered as a volunteer at the Volunteer Centre, don’t fill in the form again and just send us an email. Then, we will put you in contact with the volunteer that you will join. However, there is a limit of volunteers per stand, so we can only accept up to 4 more people from each country!

NOTE: Due to May holidays, we will not be responding to applications from May 1st to 3rd.
All students who decide to join the event and present their home culture will receive a UNIVERSITY OF WARSAW VOLUNTEER CERTIFICATE and a GIFT PACK.
