Polish language courses for the UW international employees

The University of Warsaw is offering an unpaid 30-hour online Polish language courses. Classes will be held twice a week between 17th October and 7th December. The courses are intended for University employees.

In this courses we offer:

  • free participation
  • 30 hours of Polish language classes
  • professional and passionate teaching team of Polonicum UW
  • online classes
  • placement test
  • great atmosphere in international environment

Obligations of participants:

  • active participation
  • at least 80% presence

WHEN AND WHERE?

17.10 – 07.12.2022

  • A0 group led by Ms. Katarzyna Kołak-Danyi, Monday and Wednesday at 08:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.

Participants of the course will explore at the elementary level essential phrases, eg. how to buy a ticket, order a coffee or lunch and phrases essential for basic social life in Poland.

  • A1+ group led by Ms. Małgorzata Malinowska, Monday and Wednesday at 4:45 p.m. – 6:15 p.m.

The fourth trimester of the class is a smooth transition from a quick repetition of the past tense and information about time (calendar, hours) to the discussion of further grammatical and lexical topics, including the compound future tense, the simple future tense, the accusative and genitive of nouns and adjectives in a plural form, the gradation of adjectives and adverbs.

  • a new group led by Ms. Paulina Potasińka, Monday and Wednesday at 4 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

The level of the group will be adapted to the needs of the participants. In order to do so, we kindly ask everyone interested in continuing learning Polish and improving their language skills to complete a placement test CAS account required to log in

WHO CAN APPLY?

The course is intended for international employees of the University of Warsaw.

An employee should be understood as a person employed during the period of implementation of the development activity at the University on the basis of a contract of employment or appointment, in the group of academic teachers or non-academic teachers;
