We decided that one welcome meeting, only for international students of first two cycles, is just not enough.
Why?
Simply because there is another very important group of students at our University, namely: international doctoral students. And even though they are fewer in pure numbers than students of 1st and 2nd cycle, percentage wise – they are in advantage. In 2017 they accounted for almost 10% of all doctoral students at the UW!
That is why Welcome Point UW organizes Meeting for New Doctoral Students at the UW. The main goal of this meeting is the same as the previous one: to make newcomers feel comfortable in totally new environment and equip them with knowledge helpful not only during first few months, but also during the entire stay here, in Poland.
At the meeting we will discuss:
- the most important information about University of Warsaw and its units,
- possibilities that student status give you in Poland,
- use of University libraries (not only BUW),
- health insurance,
- legalization of stay,
- …and more.
After the meeting there will be also a guided campus tour.
Event will take place on 30th of November from 12.00 noon to 2.00 pm in Senate Hall (26/28 Krakowskie Przedmieście Street; Kazimierzowski Palace).
