The University Library (BUW) has been at the centre of academic life for over 200 years. It is not only a place to study, but also to exchange ideas, conduct research, and connect with the university community. Every student will make use of the Library’s resources many times during their studies — this is why it is essential to know how to navigate it from the very beginning.
This October, we invite all international students and doctoral candidates to take part in Library Trainings designed to help you make the most of BUW’s rich resources and facilities.
What you’ll learn
- Introduction to BUW’s rules and procedures, from registration to borrowing books.
- Guidance on using the Library’s website, online catalogue, and electronic databases.
- Take a guided tour of the Library and discover what’s where
- Learn about BUW’s history and the difference between the modern and Old Library buildings
