Foundation Year – Admission 2025/2026
Dear Candidates,
The University of Warsaw offers the unique opportunity to enrol on the Foundation Year, an intensive one-year preparatory course designed for secondary school graduates and university degree holders looking to enhance their English language proficiency.
The course aims to prepare participants for degree programmes taught in English in their chosen field within the social sciences, humanities, or sciences at the University of Warsaw.
The Foundation Year provides a structured learning programme designed to help participants achieve a B2 level of English proficiency – the minimum level required for admission to English-taught degree programmes at the University of Warsaw.
Successful completion of the Foundation Year guarantees admission to the selected undergraduate or graduate programme.
Please note: participants of the Foundation Year do not hold student status. Student status and a student ID card will be granted in the following academic year (2026/2027), once participants complete the Foundation Year and are admitted to a degree programme.
