The Office for Persons with Disabilities<\/a> at the University of Warsaw provides services for all students with disabilities in formal meaning. Its main aim is to provide all the necessary forms of support to persons with disabilities. The services they provide are also dedicated to persons who are chronically ill or temporarily disabled and \u2013 due to their health conditions \u2013 are not able to follow the standard schedule of their studies. What is very important, a formal certificate of disability is not required \u2013 the situation is assessed on an individual basis. Please note that the OPD offers consultations with a psychiatrist. P<\/strong>sychologists<\/strong> are available at the Psychological Counselling Centre.<\/a> Address:<\/strong><\/p>\n The Office for Persons with Disabilities (BON)<\/strong> Contact for International students:<\/strong> We remind you to make an appointment with the consultant in advance.<\/strong><\/p>\n The Psychological and Counselling Services Centre (Centrum Pomocy Psychologicznej \u2013 CPP)<\/a>, opened in March 2018, provides professional counselling services for students and employees of the University of Warsaw. It offers short-term support, diagnosis, psycho-education, and crisis intervention.<\/p>\n Consultations are individual and free of charge. Each student is entitled to have three individual meetings in a semester.<\/p>\n Therapists guarantee confidentiality.<\/p>\n The centre is located on the first and second floors in the former UW Physics Department building (Pasteura Street 7).<\/p>\n In an emergency, there is a possibility of a concise consultation without prior registration \u2013 a walk-in clinic.<\/p>\n On the 18th of March, 2024, the Psychological and Counselling Services Centre launched an UW Helpline. The Helpline is dedicated to students and employees of UW who are abroad, in hospitals, or are not able to come in person.<\/p>\n An initial diagnosis is made at the Psychological and Counselling Services Centre, based on which you may be referred for further consultation with a psychologist or psychiatrist (appointments with a psychiatrist can be made at the\u00a0Office for Persons with Disabilities<\/a>).<\/p>\n Psychological and Counselling Services Centre<\/strong><\/p>\n Address English language consultations are held on Wednesdays between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n Contact<\/strong> Registration Secretariat
\nMoreover, the Office for Persons with Disabilities allows free consultations with a psychiatrist. The character of those meetings is consultative: after recognizing the problem, the specialist advises an optimal form of support or treatment, for example, psychotherapy in an external medical centre. The meeting can be scheduled in person or by phone.<\/p>\n
