UW: Initiatives for the Local Community – Powiśle speaks one language

The “Wspólny język Powiśla” (Powiśle speaks one language) Team invites you again to learn more about Warsaw, Powiśle district and people living there.

The project is organised by a group of students and the Volunteer Center of the University of Warsaw https://wolontariat.uw.edu.pl/volunteers/ as a part of the programme UW: Initiatives for the Local Community https://www.facebook.com/inicjatywyuw/

There are two new events planned in order to involve students in cooperation with the Powisle locals (Dobra 55 Street and the vicinity).

  1. Participating in a small community festival on the 12th of June, during which there will be one or more stalls promoting the language and the culture of a foreign country.
  2. Setting up language workshops for various generations of residents of Powisle, on the 23rd of June at the rest home of St. Franciszek Salezy.

Both events will be an opportunity for you to show off your country, with the favourite things about your country and all the special talents you have like playing music, dancing or playing games. Of course, the Team will be there to help you with the organisation.

For more details, please contact the Project Team directly before the 3rd of June at: jezykpowisla@gmail.com.

And remember that only together we can make Powiśle speak one language!
